So to back up a little bit. A few weeks ago we were driving back from a visit to GJ and it had started snowing. While in GJ we got the oil changed in my car, topped off the tank, got a new laptop and stuff for Reagan's bday. I gotta plan ahead on the shopping trips cause we live in the middle of no where. Anyways the snow ended up getting worse through the canyon and my tires weren't the best, ESPECIALLY since the oil change place didn't put air in my tires which were all a couple psi low. I was so irritated. We were barely in the canyon when Jordan went to pass a semi (we were only going about 45) and we lost control around a turn, slid into the right lane perpendicular to the road, at which point I thought the semi was going to t-bone us, thankfully he didn't, and we slammed right in to the steep canyon wall. We hit 3 of the 4 sides of the car, tore off the entire front end, tore off one of the exhaust, bent the other, cracked the back bumper, flattened 2 tires, dented up the passenger side, and cracked the radiator. The antifreeze also busted so we were without heat while waiting for the police. We thought we'd have to go back to GJ for the night, and I had NOTHING for Reagan, but thankfully an off duty fire captain stopped on her way to her next shift, about 15 min from our town. So I hitched a ride with her and our home teacher met her at 11pm and took me the rest of the way home. Jordan did have to go back to GJ and met us back Sunday morning. The car ended up being totaled because the suspension caused the engine mounts to break. I was glad because I had been wanting to get a different car, the Mazda was a little too small for two tall people and a carseat.
Reagan also took her first road trip to Vegas the week after the accident. We took advantage of the rental car and visited Aunt Jaala and Uncle Harrison. She did great on the 9 hrs there and did ok on the way back, the last hour was a little rough. While in Vegas she visited Fremont Street, went car shopping, went to the Pawn Stars pawn shop, went in a couple of casinos, visted M&M world and Coca-Cola world, and went in Christian Louboutin so mommy could try on crazy expensive shoes.
Finally Reagan also celebrated Saint Patrick's Day, which is her last "first" holiday before her birthday.
